I have cleared every cache I could clear. In the beginning after I replaced my first favicon with a second, the second came up on the front end of my website while the first stayed on in my wordpress dashboard. Many weeks later I made a third favicon and only the first shows in dashboard and second on the front end.

Are you setting the favicon in your apperance > customizer > site identity?

I deleted the previous 2 favicons from my media library, then after the last day or so my newest one starting working. Thank you for your responses.
