Favicon Keeps Reverting to Default?

    Hello,

    My website is powered by WordPress, and we are hosted by “ThisWebHost.” I have created a custom favicon with filename favicon.ico, and have been trying to upload it by deleting the current favicon file in cPanel, then uploading the new one.

    However, even after I delete and upload the new one (while double checking several times to make sure I’m uploading the right thing) the favicon.ico file reverts back to the ThisWebHost logo – the default favicon.

    I even had them both uploaded (as ‘favicon.ico’ and ‘favicon (1).ico’), but when I deleted the default and renamed ‘favicon (1)’ to ‘favicon.ico’, the image had actually physically changed back to the default, as if the source code is telling anything titled favicon.ico to display the ThisWebHost logo somewhere.

    What’s going on here?
