Just updated the files. Can you redownload and try again?

What hosting company are you using?

We aren't able to recreate this error.

Do you know the version of PHP the server is running?

We are unable to reproduce the fatal error.

Can you try deactivating other plugins and activating landing pages?

Yea, similar situation here. Did the plug-in update this a.m. & site has been down from the update hanging.

Oh boy... absolutely identical issue here. Own VPS, WordPress optimised build similar to bluehairdave. Look forward to a resolution in the near future since this is a promising plugin.

    Hey Ezinsider,

    Hi,
Just downloaded and attempted to install Landing Page plugin and got the same fatal error as the others. Here is the error:
Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error. Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end in /nfs/c09/h03/mnt/134255/domains/hotelpiccolomondo.com/html/wp-content/plugins/landing-pages/modules/module.clone.php on line 1

This site is hosted on Media Temple, California.
    Net range is 205.186.128.0 - 205.186.191.255

Let me know if you require further information.

Yup, same parse error in module.clone.php that everyone else is getting.

My site went down and I wasn't sure why. I renamed my plugins folder and all directories within. I suspected the problem was with W3 Total Cache so I completely removed that and all cache files.

Next I went through each plugin to isolate the problem. Sure enough, when I renamed ".landing-pages" to "landing-pages" the site went down again. I could turn my site on and off by renaming this single folder.

Perhaps there were some missing or old files in the directory? I downloaded the latest zip and overwrote the new files into the directory. I tried to reactivate, but once again, no dice. This time the site didn't go down, it simply displayed the parse error.

Currently I have the directory "landing-pages" named appropriately but the plug-in has been deactivated. Hopefully, we will receive an update notice with a resolution soon.

I am days away from launching a new campaign and am looking into alternatives. I am happy this error happened now and not right after the launch. Others may not be so lucky.

    Other Notes:
Webhost = BlueHost Pro / Landing Pages Template = minimal responsive

    Hey Guys,

We are unable to recreate the error. Can you fill out: http://www.inboundnow.com/landing-pages/advanced-support/

We will need to look under the hood of your site to identify the issue.

It could be a theme conflict or a namespace issue with functions.

Getting fatal error message when activating Landing Pages plugin

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare lp_init() (previously declared in /home3/costark9/public_html/wp-content/plugins/legal-pages/legal-pages.php:209) in /home3/costark9/public_html/wp-content/plugins/landing-pages/modules/module.landing-page.php on line 621

    Can you disable legal pages?

    Looks like a naming conflict

No...not my site, I am working with the owner on a business opportunity and he is letting me use his website

Change the function name to something else in legal pages.

Change every instance of lp_init to legal_lp_init

    That should solve your error

How do we resolve this so that I can use the plugin?

I am not a programmer, I would not know how to do that, and I don't want to mess up his website

Why is this a problem? Shouldn't every WordPress plugin work with other plugins?

Yeah they should. We might rename the function in a future release.

Ours is a public plugin, while theres looks private, so there is no way for us of knowing what their codebase looks like.

Change the functions in legal pages or wait for a future release of landing pages.

We need to run numerous tests to make sure this won't break anything else though for our thousands of other users, so no eta on a fix from our end.

Your best bet would be changing the functions in the private plugin.

Change every instance of lp_init to legal_lp_init

inside the legal pages plugin files

I'm not going to mess up his website. I don't know html, so I would not know what I am doing.

I don't understand why this can't be fixed now or why I have to wait for future releases.

We are trying to get business and cannot wait for new software. This makes no sense...I thought WP was easy to use.

PHP functions cannot be named the same thing. So there is a fatal error.

Change our function or change their function name. Thats the only fix.

Sorry. You can pay for us to do it but we do not fix other peoples code for free. http://www.inboundnow.com/premium-support/

This is ridiculous...one plugin for Landing Pages wants you to pay after you sign up for a free account, the other has errors with other plugins

Legal Pages is a WP plugin, not a private plugin.
