I am experiencing a fatal error as follows: I assume it has something to do with the upgrade that was performed today. How do I recover my website. Can Go Daddy help with that or do I have to do something within my ftp?

It looks like the upgrade pooped out before completing.

Download a new copy of WordPress from wp.org, unzip it locally, then upload all files and directories via FTP, overwriting what’s there.

will this effect my content and customizations?

just got off the phone with go daddy, who hosts my wordpress site. they can fix your issue immediately if you call them but are working with wordpress to fix the problem.

I had a client experiencing this problem. I restored the site from yesterday’s backup.

Turns out it was a problem on GoDaddy’s side and they’ve fixed / are fixing it.
