I have a brand new site I just set up and I wanted to make sure to set up the UpdraftPlus – Backup/Restore plugin.
In WordPress every time I go to add new plugin, it tells me that the installation failed.
    What could be causing this.
I haven’t done anything to the site yet, it’s still the shell from a clean install.
    Your help would be appreciated.

    Hi Akram,

Plugins aren’t involved at that stage – i.e. they don’t install themselves. WordPress downloads the zip, and unzips it into the right place. So if that fails, then there’s a problem in your WordPress installation. Probably you need to check the file permissions on your wp-content directory or your wp-content/plugins directory.

    Best wishes,
    David

Thank you for your advice. Perhaps there was a server error or something, but I got it installed now.
    Thanks again.
