what plugin are you using for lock out feature?
I’m not using a plugin for it… or is that part of jetpack? sorry, I’m no expert here!

Try:
– deactivating ALL plugins temporarily to see if this resolves the problem (plugin functions can interfere). If this works, re-activate them individually (one-by-one) to find the problematic plugin(s).
– If that does not resolve the issue, try switching to the unedited default Twenty Fifteen theme for a moment using the WP dashboard to rule out any theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).
Hello,
Go to your FTP account and in that follow the path that is public_html/wp-content/plugins/jetpack change the name of the jetpack folder to someother like jetpack_old or someother name. Once done the plugin will stop working and you can login to your website.
The root solution to your problem is jetpack and by renaming the folder of jetpack it will stop functioning.
Tara – that wouldn’t work because the problem is only happening when I’m not logged in… I can’t deactivate all my plug ins and wait for it to happen.
yash07 – so if I rename the jetpack folder does all of jetpack stop functioning? If that’s the case why wouldn’t I just deactivate the jetpack plug in? Do you know that this is a jetpack bug?
