Hi,
Please can you provide the entire error message? You can redact paths if needed, but filenames are useful.
The more important bit of this message is the numbers after the partially succeeded message, e.g. 12345 of 67890 bytes written (2233553 already written.)
Also, the size of the file being backed up at the time is important, which is specified in brackets after the filename.
Regards,
Jason
hi sorry for taking long here is the message :
A filesystem operation failed while processing ‘Filesystem/public_html/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/package-11-150×150.png’ (27913) for backup.
If the following error message is not clear as to the problem and the issue persists, please contact support providing the complete event log for the activity. Diagnostic information follows:
Failed at: 985(/home/eawebdes/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wponlinebackup/include/files.php)
Attempt to write to file /home/eawebdes/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wponlinebackup/tmp/backup.zip.php only partially succeeded. Only 4590 of 27183 bytes were written. (24645091 bytes already written.) PHP last error: No error message was logged.
Hi 54africanvoices,
The backup reached 25MB roughly. I don’t know if you are close to your server quota? Can you check? This can cause this issue.
Also, please can you run a couple more backups, and see if the message is similiar? Does it get to 25MB roughly each time (24645091 bytes already written)? Or does it vary? Maybe it fails on the same file each time?
I’m thinking we can implement some write retries to see what happens… Let me know the answers to the above and if it looks like retries might help I’ll give you a test version so we can see what happens.
Regards,
Jason
