Hi @ghc39,
Be sure you are running the latest version of Feed The Social (currently 2.8.2). Also, most important, (for Facebook) you need to have Admin Privileges for each page and be logged in at the time you are generating each shortcode. Facebook’s current API / Privacy Policy also requires that it be a public, Business Page and no longer grants access for personal or group profiles or for Event posts.
There did appear to be a FB hiccup for some folks a week or so ago. Once the above criteria is met, follow these steps:
Go to the Settings > Business Integrations tab of your Facebook account and check the Remove button for SlickRemix. Be sure to remain logged into your Facebook account. Return to your WordPress dashboard, to Feed Them > Facebook Options and click the Facebook button to generate an Access Token. Even if you receive an error message here, scroll down and click the green ‘Save All Changes’ button. Then proceed to the Feed Them > Settings page to generate a shortcode. Once the shortcode is applied, you may need to clear the FTS cache, and maybe even to refresh your browser.

Hi @slickchris,
Thank you for your response. I have Admin Privileges for the Facebook Page (which is a public, business page) and the latest version of Feed Them Social is installed.
I just tried removing the Business Integration, creating a new access token, generating a new Shortcode, entering the new Shortcode into a Code Snippet, and refreshing the FTS cache. I also tried using different browsers but unfortunately the issue persists.
How can this get resolved?
Thanks again for all your help!
Hi @ghc39,
We did recently have one person who solved his similar issue by clearing his host cache.
More likely, another plugin or theme is interfering.
Try deactivating all other plugins besides the Feed Them Social plugins temporarily. Then test to see if it works. If this works, try reactivating them, one by one, to see which one is causing the issue.
If deactivating all plugins doesn’t help the issue try switching themes to one of the default WordPress themes then look at the page (this can be done under the Appearance tab of your install). It’s possible the theme is causing errors.

Hi @slickchris,

How can I clear my host cache?
Thanks!
Hi @ghc39,
One other aspect I didn’t mention, is that you may want to try enabling the CSS box (Feed Them > Settings > Global Options > Custom CSS Option).
Typically, we have folks clear our Feed Them cache every now & then. That will usually do the trick for most issued we see.
Sometimes, other caching WordPress plugins will need to be cleared as well.
Also, sometimes you may need to go into your browser cache settings and clear those.
And, on super rare occasions (as I mentioned, only one user solved their issue this way), is to clear your host cache. Doing this would depend on your host. The person in question had his hosting through GoDaddy, although most hosts would vary on clearing their cache, and some don’t even provide the option. I would recommend reaching out to your webmaster or host directly on how to clear, if you are willing to try this.

Hi @slickchris,
I contacted my web host to reset the cache and they responded that the problem is likely with the PHP version. I upgraded to version 7.3 and now the Facebook feed works.
Thanks again for all your help!
Hi @ghc39,
Happy to hear that it’s been resolved!
Have a great week!
Thanks for that hint! Had the same probleme and an update from php 7.0 to 7.2 fixed it!
