Facebook developer app question

Hi,

I am trying to install facebook social plugins on my site but the problem is I cannot create an app on facebook. I’m wondering if the problem is that my facebook page is just that; a page not connected to any human facebook id. Will facebook only allow humans to make apps? The option simply doesn’t appear for my page id.

I tried setting my personal profile as an admin and that doesn’t work.

I made an app using my personal facebook profile so I do know how to do it but the problem is I don’t want that profile associated with my website.

Will I only be able to do this if I use a human profile to make a page?
Facebook doesn’t seem to have much guidance on this issue.

Someone please advise me, I am at that stage of wanting to throw the laptop out the window now!
