Exporting Selected Posts with GUID

    I have a staging WordPress site setup for a client that is a duplicate of her live site. She has posted several times to her blog since the duplicate database was created.

    How can I best export/import these 10 or so posts to the staging database? I don’t want them to appear as new posts when we go live, but keep the feed and link info.

    Can I use the export tool with date filter, and simply import to the staging site? Will that append the blog posts to the staging version of her database, keeping the GUID feed info the same?

    Or is it better to copy/paste the posts as new, and copy the GUID from the old database to the new staging database copy?

    Thanks! Just wanted to be sure I’m doing the right thing!

    Just wanted to ask again? Anyone have experience exporting a few selected posts as XML then using the import tool? Will it append to the blog table and keep the GUID feed info? Hoping it’s that simple! Thanks!!
