• I have four pages on my site that are password protected and have been excluded by page id in the page widget, yet they continue to show up on my site.

Also, is there a way to tell the page id when the permalinks are set to %postnamne%? Otherwise, the permalinks must be first changed to the default setting to determine the page id’s, then changed back to %postnamne%.

    How? or where?

is there a way to tell the page id when the permalinks are set to %postnamne%?

    See this page.

Actually, I have since fixed the problem. In addition to excluding in the widget, I had to manually code exclusion in the header and footer.php’s.

I don’t see anything on that page regarding a way to tell page id while permalinks are set to postname.

See “1.16: How do I determine a Post, Page, Category, Tag, Link, Link Category, or User ID?” on that page

Got it. That particular help was not written so well. You must hover over the “edit” button for the page id to appear in the status bar, not over the “title”, which is what is written.

    Thanks.
