Exclude already displayed posts

I have Featured Content Gallery set up on my homepage. It works great. Everything is flawless. Below it i have the 5 most recent posts listed. However they both use the same 5 posts. I can use cat’s to tell them not to show in FCG, but what i really want is….

To be able to add a new post and have the first 5 (1-5 most recent) in FCG then below it the next 5 (6-10 most recent). and as i add post they move down in order. So the 5th post now leaves the Gallery when a new one is added and becomes the first one on the “More Featured Content” below.
