    I am testing the free version at this moment. I like to change the description of the dbem-phone field description to add ‘Req’ on the user profile. Currently it shows the description ‘Event Manager’ only.

    How can I change this without affecting the original code, e.g. in the child theme’s functions.php? Or should I copy em-people.php to the child theme folder and change it there?

    After changing, will the description (span class?) be updated for all user when they view their profile?

    Hi,

    Thanks for getting back on this question.
    I saw the phone field updated in the user profile (user meta Contact Info as ‘Phone(Events Manager)’ in the free version. But in the pro-version in demo, it is shown as ‘Phone’ under Further Info.

    So I guess there is a way to change the description of this in the user meta (or user profile) area.

    I just want to be able to add a word (‘Req’ or ‘Required’) so that when I use profile display/update with WP-User frontend plugin, it will show the full description.

    We are going for the pro-version so that we can have multiple attendees records and will use it with a membership plugin.

    Note: I found Ultimate Member allows me to use the dbem_phone with my own description on profile form editor (great!). But it does not use WP user roles for the membership like S2Member. However, S2member does not allow dbem_phone to be used in the profile form editor.

    WP User Frontend display all profiled fields so I can use it so I just want to know if I can change the description.

    I found a few form editor plugin that resolve this issue. e.g User Meta plugin. So when I upgrade event manager to pro version, I can use the plugin to pull out all the dbem user meta fields for user to update their profile. So I think my issue is resolved.
