Error: WRONG_SITE_RESPONSE TEST ACTION

    Hi

    I recently had an error on this site and, after a process of elimination, discovered it was the CleanTalk plugin which I disabled and all was fine.

    I noticed today that there was an update so thought I’d try again. I got the following error on the dashboard:

    Errors:
    2021-03-31 18:50:17: Error occurred while updating SpamFireWall local base. Error: WRONG_SITE_RESPONSE TEST ACTION: https://www.vispermanagement.co.uk ERROR: error:14094410:SSL routines:ssl3_read_bytes:sslv3 alert handshake failure

    I deleted the plugin and reinstalled but the same error remains.

    Any ideas? I’ve used CT on a number of sites without issue – any idea what this may be?

    Hello,

    Could you install this special version?

    https://github.com/CleanTalk/wordpress-antispam/releases/download/fix-version/cleantalk-spam-protect.zip

    1. Enter the Antispam by Cleantalk plugin settings. (WordPress Dashboard -> Settings -> Antispam by Cleantalk -> Advanced settings)

    2. Check the last settings “Complete deactivation” and save changes.

    3. Deactivate the plugin on the “Plugins” page in WordPress Dashboard.

    4. Then delete it.

    5. Install the version from the link above.

    Let us know about the results.

    I have done that and one error has gone away, but I’m still getting critical errors in the Site Health which I think is related:

    The REST API request failed due to an error.
    Error: cURL error 35: error:14094410:SSL routines:ssl3_read_bytes:sslv3 alert handshake failure (http_request_failed)

    The loopback request to your site failed, this means features relying on them are not currently working as expected.
    Error: cURL error 35: error:14094410:SSL routines:ssl3_read_bytes:sslv3 alert handshake failure (http_request_failed)

    Please, synchronize the plugin:
    • WordPress Admin Page —> Settings —> Anti-Spam by CleanTalk —> press the button “Synchronize with Cloud”
