Error when installing acme-demo-setup.zip

I get what appear to be errors when installing acme-demo-setup.zip
– “Invalid ZIP destination file”.

The WordPress.org support page says:
“Your dummy data must have ZIP file of xml, dat and wie file.”
“Put all this three files on one ZIP folder and import the ZIP file.”

QUESTIONS
(1) Why do I need to put additional files in acme-demo-setup.zip? I thought the whole point was that it is a self-contained installation zip file?

(2) Where do I get these additional files? In acme-demo-setup.zip there are only php files and one js file. There are no xml, wie or dat files.

Appearance –> Acme Demo Setup –> acme-demo-setup.zip (Upload)
