Error posting to Smush.it

I cannot seem to make this plugin work as it should. For a few months ago, all files were being smushed. With the recent updates to the plugin, I looked through my media pages to check if it is working accordingly. It appears that something is stopping it from working.

It loads for 60 seconds (as set in the settings) and I get the “Error posting to Smush.it” error.

How can I go about to troubleshoot this? Have anyone else experienced the same issue? Surely there must be a way to resolve this, it would be a shame to not use this otherwise excellent performance plugin.

I updated this plugin today to the newest release and I am getting the same error as @abstraction. I get this error both when I bulk smush.it and also when I got into media library and attempt to individually smush images.

Can the plugin author please look at this and advise us accordingly.

For the time being I have downloaded version 1.6.2 from the developer tab on http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-smushit/
This version is functioning perfectly for images up 1mb in size.

Also getting same error. Updated to, atest version and since then all I am getting is the “error posting to smush it” message – was fine before.

Got the same error on all my sites, reverting to an past version of the plugin also not working, could this be a Yahoo issue? I had to disable it cause it was hanging media uploads, had someone upload an image 5 times thinking it wasn’t working!

Got the same error as well.
Reverted back to 1.6.2 which is working.

well, we have no answer!
the authors have try the plugin after update? i think no.
we have to wait other one year for an update?
if anyone have zip version of 1.6.2 please upload and give to other link to download back.
