Error: PHP is not running

    I’m running Apache and mySQL through XAMPP. I just installed PHP 5.2.17 using the Windows installer. I started php.exe and opened wp-admin/install.php in the browser only to get the error message. What am I missing? I’m not sure where to start. Thanks.
