Error on date based archives using Ad Injection

    For some reason I have noticed that when using Ad Injection my date based archives throw a 502 bad gateway error with NGINX server.

    I say it is date based archives, i.e. /11/1 because that is where I have seen a majority but I have also seen it on normal category pages from time to time.

    When I disable ad injection, I do not get these errors. Nor do I get these errors if logged in to WordPress.

    I suspect it has to do with some conflict with caching and ad injection. I have tried w3tc and quick cache and it happens under both.

    Does anyone have any thoughts on to what could be the issue?
