Please go to the “MailChimp for WP > Others” page in your WordPress admin and share with us any errors listed there.
Please make sure to remove any sensitive data before sharing the logs with us.
I’m having the same exact issue. The problem happens if you enter the same email address more than once. Say you enter your email, but never subscribe, then come back right away (or any time in the future it seems) and put in the same email address again to subscribe you will get this error. I just went through and typed several real and fake email addresses twice and it happens every time.
Here is the log that happens each time:
[2019-09-12 10:58:17] ERROR: Form 6853 > Mailchimp API error: 405 Method Not Allowed. This list member cannot be removed. Please contact support.

@petebocken, Please make sure that you are using the latest version of our plugin. This issue has already beenr resolved.
