What is the shortcode here?
It looks like this stripped out the entire player setup code entirely:
jwplayer(‘jwplayer-0’).setup([]);
The shortcode is [jwplayer mediaid="263"]
Btw, when I restore some older language files in the /wp-content/languages/ folder, the player works properly.
What languages did you restore?
Also the German language files de_DE.po and de_DE.mo. I tested it with the language files from 29th May. They work (download). Don’t know which newer version also work but with the language files newer than 12th June the player fails.
Interesting. I wonder why a new language file would cause that.
Are you able the reproduce the problem?
Not locally, but I will alert the team here to investigate.
I am seeing the same problem, also with a German language site. For us it happens on http://magiceye.de/showreel/
Worked a couple of days ago, and with one of the latest updates the video does not longer work.
Thank you for the hint. I had the same issue.
So I did a comparison. The recent de_DE language files have wrong quotes:
“\”Abbrechen\” oder zum Löschen \”OK\” wählen.”
went to
“„Abbrechen“ oder zum Löschen „OK“ wählen.”
Maybe this is the problem…
@magiceyevideo We have same problem with JW Player Pro Plugin.
“Error loading player: No playable sources found”
How did you fix the bug?
@matthias Pabst – Do you have a solution?
@jw Player – We dindn’t change the settings and had no WP update.
What’s your suggestion?
Thank you very much,
Daniel
@dandan7 – Just a temporary solution. I use some older language files from end of May. But when updating plugins these files are always updated too so I have to restore them after every update.
