Error cause identification

Hi

My host is investigating a problem with my website, whereby the following error is generating several times a minute:

100414 13:58:22 [ERROR] /usr/libexec/mysqld: Can't open file: './mydbname/wp_post2catfrm' (errno: 24)

The error apparently resulted in several sites going down earlier today.

They’ve asked me to identify the cause and the reference to wp_post2catfrm. However I can find no mention of this, and research shows there is no similarly named table or field in the current version of WP.

Needless to say I’m a little baffled.

There are no new plugins in the last 2 weeks. My active plugins are:

Twitter Tools – Hashtags
WordPress.com Stats
WPhone

I’m using WP 2.9.2

I’d gratefully accept any assistance and suggestions anyone can give me, and let me know if there is more information I can supply.
