I don’t know – I was about to post the same question. My custom field drop-down list in WordPress 2.7 is pre-filled with a bunch of email addresses and junk. I’d like them gone. Anybody?
If you delete the custom field off a post, if that custom field isn’t used on other posts it will get deleted.
Note that custom fields are kept in the wp_postmeta table so guess you could delete them there, but I’d do a database backup before trying that.
