Sadie-
Can you give us the link to your blog? Hard to troubleshoot without it.
Thanks!

Can someone take a look at this for me? I have tried everything that I know, but the sidebar is still empty in IE.
I am thinking about reinstalling the former version of wordpress, was the upgrade for security reasons, and is the upgrade necessary?
Couple things you can check: because of the broken box-model in IE, the actual width of the sidebar may cause it to simply disappear behind/below other stuff in IE – IE doesn’t do things right, and width is a MAJOR cause of heartburn with sidebar problems in IE; also, it just barely possible that something in the css for the overlay of the elements on the patterned menu div may be simply not displaying properly in IE. Other than that, I don’t have any real thoughts…. the only IE troubleshooting I do is really for my own stuff or clients – it takes too much time and is just too hard to do when it’s not one of my own installs.
Yes, the upgrade was for security purposes.

If anyone knows how to fix this I would really appreciate it. I found out the problem. One of my links is too long, and the calendar is too long. After playing around with this for 2 hours nothing gets IE to display it. No amount of shrinking the calendar works. And, what are we supposed to do about the links, they are web addresses, long or short?
Of course if I take out the links and calendar, its displays perfectly. But, I want the links and calendar displayed.
I am having this problem, too. In addition, photos and the footer also don’t load.
Honestly, this seems a pretty big problem if WP scripts don’t properly load in IE…
