Embedding video does not work??

    HELP!

    Whenever I try and add the embed HTML code from a video i find on youtube or vimeo into my blog nothing shows up. I also tried the [vimeo http://vimeo.com/7640196%5D code while in the HTML editor.

    Can this be a theme problem? Or am I just doing something wrong…

    How are you entering the markup from YouTube? What editor are you using: Visual or HTML?

    Have you checked the source code of the final page to see if the embed markup is being removed?

    Are you using IE? I’ve had problems with that. You have to strip the HTML from all except the embed stuff.

    @esmi Sorry I am getting back to you so late. Yes the HTML code does not show up in the source code.

    In that case something in your current theme or one of your plugins is stripping out the code somewhere. Have you checked if the relevant theme template file uses the_excerpt()?
