Your having the same issue I have. Although I found that my problem was because i input the incorrect email address in Discussions. However I am unable to change it to the correct email address. I hope someone can help you here.
ehobbins,
Actually I got my problem solved myself. I was trying to find out something, and after I got desperate from WordPress mail function I’ve downloaded a plugin which enables you to use external smtp server, the plugin called wp-mail-smtp.0.9.1 and once I’ve installed it, configure it, and tested it I found its working.
– The plugin enables you to put credentials of a real email address, I’ve used my email itself and working.
You can try this and I hope it could solve your problem as it did with me
Thanks
Mohamed
Thanks i will try it. I think the issue i have is the conformation email is going to an email that doesn’t exist as i typed it in incorrectly. I have read in some cases that staff have to amend it manually? If that’s the case ill never get it sorted as there is no way of contacting them.

Hi,
This problem is really strange and I couldn’t have an answer to it.
I’ve installed a fresh version of wordpress version 3.2.1 and I’m not receiving any comments notification through email, although I set up everything as exactly required.
– I’ve created the email wordpress@domain-name.com
– I’ve enabled the comments to be sent via settings > discussions
– I’ve checked my junk email
– I’ve checked with the hosting company about this and they told me everything is fine.
– I’ve added the correct email credentials to settings > writing page.
The strange thing is when I’m trying to reset the password it says that the mail() function is not working although its working really fine to everything else.
Is there anything I’m missing over here?
