How can I make it so that when a post is changed to a specific status, a certain user group gets automatic email notification, without needing to check the boxes at the bottom?

No plans to add it to the plugin at this time.

OK.

It would be great. For clients that we help/coach (as they won’t always remember to check the box). Also, in a multisite install it would be terrific to be able to notify user groups at network level.
