Email Address Change

Hello Everyone,
My contact page has worked fine, until I changed the address to a gmail.com address. For starters it differs from the 1 I have listed in my general settings. The email is set up on a different device.
What I mean is if I send an email from my own email account, to the one set up on other device it works. But does not from the contact page. So the account set up on other device is set up right.
When I sent an email to new address, it says message has been sent
So at the moment I have reverted back to the old address.
Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated
