Elementor editor missing from dashboard

Hi, I’ve read the thread related to this and it was closed 4 yrs ago, but seemingly with no further responses from the people actually seeking help to say that they had had success. I don’t know anything regarding how to edit my site, which was created for me a few years ago. I let it go dormant and want to upgrade how it looks (hence Elementor). I don’t know any coding at all, or even how to access my wpfiles or directories to insert code (suggestion is to ‘de-bug’ by inserting a chain of code for ‘beginners’ – I am a beginner and don’t know where to do that). I have looked at the suggestions and do not feel confident deactivating everything else (why would I do that? – I need everything working). Please, bear with me, and any help would be gratefully received. Thank you.
