After a redesign of my website on a staging server, i am comparing WP optimize with Litespeed cache, which does not show these problems.
(Checked WP rocket too, they have the same problems as Wp optimize)
What you see is a kind of site map, all content unstyled. I can unfortunately not attach a screenshot to show it. (The site runs on cloudflare)
On a desktop running chrome everything looks fine (browser cache flushed many times)
    On android phone: issues
On GT metrix and Google pagespeed: issues

Since i can use Litespeed this is not an important issue to me, would like to report it for your sake though.

    Best,
    John

  • Hi John,

Could you share your website’s URL?
Do you have the setting “Generate separate files for mobile devices” enabled in the page caching settings?

On GT metrix and Google pagespeed: issues

There are issues with most websites on those tools.
Do you mean that they also display the site without styles?

    Best,
    Marc

    Marc,

    The website url is: https://www.masbernadis.eu/wp-staging/

I do not have “Generate separate files for mobile devices” enabled

GT metrix displays the site without styles. I have set minify to “off” and still the page size in WP optimize is 620 KB, whereas in Litespeed it is 1,21 MB.

I have left litespeed disabled and Wp optimize enabled on the site and i will leave it like that until friday evening.
BTW: The site runs on cloudflare and i was informed today that thay are going to serve through http/3. According to this tool:https://gf.dev/http3-test the site is already served through http/3

    Best,
    John

    John, Thanks for the details.

when visiting the provided link, it does indeed look broken. Though the issue seems to be due to a cached version, apparently by Litespeed cache:

When busting the cache by adding a parameter to the URL, the page loads properly, but doesn’t show any sign of WP-Optimize.

    Hi Marc,

That is strange: i can assure you the the Litespeed plugin is set to inactive and the WP optimize is set to active. Beats me how litespeed can serve something when it is set to inactive ?

    John

I’m not sure what’s happening, as the front page (https://www.masbernadis.eu/wp-staging/) shows a “cached by litespeed” message, but selecting an other language such as FR will show a “cached by WP-Optimize” message.

It must be an other layer of cache, so either Cloudflare, or something provided by your hosting.

(Off topic: Fun fact, I live 30 mins from Nîmes! :))

Well, then we are almost neighbours.

Anyway, to be sure i purged the cloudflare cache and checked all languages:
French and english are OK, Dutch and German are broken.
Strange indeed since one would expect that site settings would work out the same on all languages.

I suppose https://www.masbernadis.eu/wp-staging/ is a different WP install than the current https://www.masbernadis.eu?
It seems like Litespeed is enabled on https://www.masbernadis.eu, which could be “catching” https://www.masbernadis.eu/wp-staging/ as a sub-page of https://www.masbernadis.eu.

    Hi Marc,

    You got it.
The staging site is located in a subfolder of my main site.
Although the staging site is supposed to be a complete and separate install, this is not the case apparently.

    Thanks,
    John
