I try to get the image that works with normal text entry with #img1# placeholder to be placed in the excerpt as well…
I tried to place it inside the :excerptstart :excerptend tags and after it but it just shows the tag when placed outside.

Looks like there was a bug in the excerpt code which I fixed. Note however that you have to use the #eimg# syntax in the excerpt. Fixed in 1.4.23

Shouldn’t that be 1.4.24 ? I was already using 1.4.23 which you released 3 days ago…

OK, thanks but if I place an Image now my excerpt text is gone… maybe an hashtag or other little thingie missing? 😉

Both settings were as you had stated; starting at 0: no , and preferred text type: plain… still no luck.
Image is not shown and I just updated Postie to last version today 1.4.26
The excerpt text is now shown but image is gone again.
Main text area is fine.
I used exact same email template.

I found the bug and it will be fixed in 1.4.28.
