• Before I understood the power of the blog I had created a DB with content and had been using it for over 3 years.

However now I have imported that data into my WP DB. The articles are appearing in the ARCHIVES list however the URL is incomplete because each article does not have a PERMALINK.

If I EDIT the article individually of course a PERMALINK and a POST-SLUG is added.

However; I have imported over 2500 items into the WP DB and I really don’t want to have to edit each post manually.

If I turn off the PERMALINKS the links in the ARCHIVES do work however I prefer to use “search engine friendly” links.

So, is there a way to have all the enteries in the DB that do not have PERMALINKS updated without doing them one-by-one?

    Thanks.

Common misconception. Search engines don’t care about your “permalinks” – what you think to be SE friendly… it’s just “human-eyes-friendly”.

Well I also like the HUMAN friendly linnks as well – even though some of them get a bit long –
