Edit post destroys HTML code

    Because the Visual Editor is not meant to be used for HTML markup.

    Where is this stated in the Help, please?

    Why? If you search the forums, you will see that it an oft-repeated fact. The Visual editor will strip most HTML markup from post content. If you want to use markup, use the HTML tab.
