Dynamic page generated time

When I view the page source of my homepage, I get this:

<!– Cached page generated by WP-Super-Cache on 2013-10-30 21:55:43 –>

And, when I view the page source of my posts, I get something like:
<!– Dynamic page generated in 0.927 seconds. –>
<!– Cached page generated by WP-Super-Cache on 2013-10-30 20:58:59 –>

<!– Compression = gzip –>
Why does the homepage get generated in 34.668 seconds? Is it a faulty configuration?
In the previous install of Super Cache, the homepage had similar time value as of the posts, like 0.956 seconds.
