Dynamic Header for Duster Theme?
-
Hi,
Please forgive me if this is too basic for this forum.I’m building myself a very simple website using the Duster theme (self hosted? I think it’s called, on Dreamhost). My goal here is to get my content up and my actual business launched, so I’m trying to keep this pretty basic.
What I want to do is use a plug-in to replace the theme header image with a dynamic image slider. First I looked at “WP Responsive header image slider” which seemed to do the thing I wanted. But I can’t find any documentation, only pages that claim to be documentation, but are actually requiring that one registers with them and let them set up the header. I’d rather learn how to do it myself.
Secondly, I’ve found “EasyRotator for WordPress” by DWuser.com. It also looks like it will do what I need, and has some documentation. There’s a line to add the the header.php, and a note that reads, “If you’re not sure where to add the code, we recommend you post on the WordPress forums for guidance.” …so here I am.
Where in the Duster Theme header.php would I add the line as described here: http://www.dwuser.com/support/easyrotator/kb/template-function/
Do I need to delete or comment out any lines that currently call a header?Alternatively, are there any Header Image Rotators that work with the Customize features built into this build of Word Press and the Theme? It would be fantastic if on the tab where one can randomize between header images, one could, instead, set slide/fade, timing, play, etc. options right there. Is there anything like that out there? (Or I’m okay going back to plan A of edit the header).
Thanks!
