I just installed WordPress on my site in a sub domain “WP.ce-marketing.biz.”

This sub domain is directed to a “WP” folder in my root directory.

The problem is that when I type “ce-marketing.biz” into my browser to check the appearance, I get the following 404 message:

You tried going to http://www.ce-marketing.biz/WP/WP/, and it doesn’t exist. All is not lost! You can search for what you’re looking for.

I tried it but I get the same message….

wp.ce-marketing.biz – ends up with no error message for me
http://www.ce-marketing.biz/WP/ brings the 404 error to me.

please check the WP site-url in the database, wp_options
It seems there is one “WP” to much.

Did you move this site after you installed it? Only there is evidence that the original installation was in http://www.ce-marketing.biz/WP/

I’m sorry, I should have been more clear. My root directory contains a static site with a WordPress blog linked to it. There’s no problem there.

But now I’m in the process of switching over to have my entire site contained in WordPress. But I don’t want it in my root directory until I’ve completed and tested it. Therefore I created a sub domain (WP.ce-marketing.biz) diercted to the subfolder “ce-marketing.biz/WP.”

This is where I was having all the problems.

In any case, I contacted my host provider about the problem as well. They said “Your WordPress was inaccessible. I’ve deleted and re-created the XXXXX database. Please now re-install WordPress.”

    So that fixed the problem.

    Thanks for your comments.
