The main menu item should be a custom link with the url being #. It’s a dead link.
Then the drop down menus underneath it would contain real links.
Is that the current setup?

That said, I think the problem is your menu and background color. The menus are there but not displaying because both the color and the background is white.
I’m having the same problem. Went to check the website today (www.planetearthlings.org) and all of the menus show the top level, but when I hover over the dropdowns don’t show. Have tested it in both Chrome and Edge. Updated all plbugins and tried a reinstall of the latest version of WordPress. This is quite disconcerting. Can you help me here or should I start a new thread?
I am experiencing the exact same problem. Everything was working then the drop down menus stopped being visible. http://vmrwhitsundays.com.au Is this related to the recent WP upgrade? What is the best way to fix this?
I used the WP Downgrade plugin and tried to go both back to the 5.5.1 and 5.4.3 versions and even after clearing cookies on Chrome for the site my dropdown menus still aren’t working.Sure hope there is going to be help/advice about this soon.
