I have created a popup registration form in conjunction with Ultimate Member. The problem I’m having is the popup closes even if the registration is failed ie. required fields not completed

Is there a workaround to this?

edit: seems like I might need to get the ajax login module for this to work after did some digging

  • @aerir Your comment “edit: seems like I might need to get the ajax login module for this to work after did some digging” is spot on. I just ran into this same issue with another product user yesterday. Our AJAX Login Modals plugin extension generates its own forms to meet your project needs. THe UM plugin does not run AJAX, which is why you were having difficulty pulling it into Popup Maker.

I’m aware that our web site implies that Popup Maker integrates seamlessly with Ultimate Member. I’ve noted that discrepancy to our lead product developer, and we will be taking up the matter in the near term.

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately I need custom fields and i’m not sure if the AJAX Login Modals provide this option.

Maybe I will look into WP-Members plugin as well

@aerir – To confirm, UM custom fields should work fine with our Registration Form shortcodes. To clarify, if you go to the default WP registration page (/wp-login.php?action=register) and see the UM custom fields there, then they will also appear in our forms. We do everything we can to completely imitate the core WP registration forms, which means that nearly any plugin that modifies the fields of the core form, also changes ours ;).

    Hope that helps.
