Can this be used to create a drop down menu?
I don’t need a list of categories in the center of my page, I need several drop down menus.

I need drop down menus like that in the middle of the page.

I don’t see my plugin installed and used.

As per my understandings, you need your menu in the page instead sidebars.

Workaround –
Install my plugin
Create shortcode of your menu with responsive breakpoint set to 2000px.
Paste to respective page
