I’m wondering, as you cannot choose the time for scheduled backups (in the free version, via MainWP).

Does Updraft run them simultaniously, or does it run them sequentially? How does it choose when to run them? Will it care if the site is under a big load at the moment?

I currently use it via MainWP, an I cannot have my 50 sites backing up at the same time at 3pm.

    Thanks!

    Hi,

Different UD sites don’t know about each others’ existence, so, no.

The default backup time chosen in the free version is normally 5 minutes after you saved the settings (if you changed the schedule settings, or set them up for the first time).

So, if I want them to run at 3am, I could save the settings at 2:55am?

    Hi,

Yes, saving the settings at 2:55am should schedule backups for 3am.

Please note that UpdraftPlus makes a ‘best effort’ attempt to run backups according to schedule, which depends on the WordPress scheduler being triggered, so backups may not run at exactly the scheduled time.
