Does unchecking the “ping” box help?

    Okay, I have looked everywhere on this site re: pings. And everyone claims that WordPress, as a default, sends out a ping everytime you do a post edit.

    What I haven’t seen is anyone as this:

    Under discussion, you have the choice to check off this box

    Allow trackbacks and pingbacks on this page.

    If this is unchecked, does it still send them out? If that’s the case, I can then see installing one of the plugins suggested.

    Even am looking for such solution, as i think lound much 🙂 and i want to post more than 10-15 blog post per day, but my blog is new so i don’t want to ping the search engine every time i do the posting at my blog…is there any way to this problem for making the automatic ping off for every search engines and ping services?
