Document preview without leaving the page

Hi guys,

I’ve very new to the .org version of wordpress so please be patient with me 🙂

I am looking for a plugin that allows visitors to my site to be able to view documents in a sort of overlay / preview in the same way that Gmail allows to view documents that you have received in mail. You click on the attachment, it opens up on the same page in an overlay ( you can still see the site in the background ) and once you are done, just press escape and you are back where you started. Downloading is an option, not the default.

If anyone knows what I am talking about and can point me in the right direction I would be grateful.
