• I am trying to include a document database in my wordpress site. Each document will be added as a post, the post being a summary of the document and there will be a link to view the actual document in .pdf format. I would like each document post to have some custom fields such as

    Title:
    Author:
    Document Date:
    Another Field:
    …and so on.

    I figure I will create categories for the types of document and use tags for the subject matter.

    Can anyone help with this? Any idea’s or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

  • Did you ever find help with this? I am building a website with organizational documents and meeting minutes, and I am thinking of doing the same thing. It would be nice if there were a plugin so that users could upload and categorize the documents easier.

    try using custom post types
