Do you delete these or approve them so they appear as comments?
A trackback IS a comment (according to WordPress)
You delete them OR approve them, after approving them, they appear as comments.
If it is not spam – of course, we approve them: it is a proof people read our blog and refer to our posts. “Staying connected in the blogoshepere”… 😉
Have a look here. All trackbacks are just a link from another site from someone that wanted to talk about your post but also wanted it to show up on your blog. I had a hard time wrapping my head around it at first too.
Thanks, Ok I understand now.
The WordPress system considers comments/trackbacks/pingbacks as all being comments. However, it marks them differently internally, so if you want to see them separated on your actual webpage, you can. But they’re still treated as all being comments as far as spam handling and moderation and such goes, because that’s simplest.

Can anyone help, i am a bit confused about trackbacks. When someone gives a trackback to one of my posts, the trackback appears as a comment for me to approve. Do you delete these or approve them so they appear as comments?
Thanks
