Do Not Duplicate Help

I have a related posts section on my single pages that displays 2 related posts. The issue I am running into is trying omit related posts that the single page is viewing. Not sure if I’m making sense, but I don’t want the related posts to show the same post that the person is currently viewing.

I’ve looked into the codex and found something the sort of achieves what I’m trying to do here. However that setup basically makes they main content disappear, but leaves the related link intact.

I’ve been racking my brains to get this to work, any suggestions?
