when I make a googlesearch, my site comes up with this information on top of my site-name:

    Your H2 subheadline here

And this information below my site-name:

Hello world (and then follows css-instructions)

How do I get rid of that info?

    Thanks in advance

  • If that content is still on your site, and it is the only content, then it is not likely to change.

If you have replaced that info with other content, then Google will eventually notice the change and replace it. That could take days or weeks. You can try to speed it up a bit by getting more links to your site, or getting a Google Webmaster Tools account and have the bot revisit the page.

You could also change the meta-description of your front page, which you can do by installing an SEO plugin (such as Yoast’s SEO plugin).

The thing is, it is not on site at all. It is some pre-text from the theme that is not really visible.

I have Yoasts and have tried to write stuff in the meta-description, but it didnt change. Does this also require some time to change??

There are many themes ,free themes listed on wordpress have dedicated theme support forums.

    check here
    https://wordpress.org/themes/

for paid themes you might have to read documentation that came with theme or contact the developer,or just typing how to change h2 tag in My_theme_name in google should yield good results
