Alternately, and maybe this is expecting too much, but can anyone advise a way to integrate the Tippy plugin with the Background Manager? I’d like to find a way to activate a Tippy tool-tip with the caption text when hovering over the background image.
Hello
Forgive my accent, I’m French.
what you want to do is not directly possible with “background manager” but I think part of your answer is in this link:

tries,
and do not forget to fill out all fields of the base of the library media concerned
thank you and good day;
Also read what the author of the plugin responds in this post on this topic:

Read all the way.
Hi, guys, did you figured already out how to have the caption not as a tooltip but as text on top of the bg image?
I think must be possible with CSS.
I crawd also already a bit in the bg manager plugin code, but seems to be rather ‘complicated’ to find the generated tooltip code back, in orde to rewrite the php a bit.
would be lovely to hear your experiences so far.
wordpress love 🙂

hello;
The easiest and the best is that you write your text directly in the image;
So you have transparencies, colors and set values that you want to … You could sometimes add a cartridge when it is useful
jammi
@jammi, you mean putting the text on the image in a photoshop for example?
this is not an option, as non graphic people are editing the bg from time to time, and on the other hand, when the bg stretch by the dimension of the browser, that will do weird things with the text.
so, digging further 🙂

this may be your solution

Thanks for that link, JAMMI! Great info.
I thought it was worth mentioning that, unfortunately, this solution doesn’t really work for my issue. The overlay mentioned in the other topic is for an image set, but I’m looking for captions for each background image. Ideally, I’d like to display the image caption for the image since the plugin already allows that information to be entered.
Hey GATEKeeper,
Did you find a solution to this problem?
If so I would like to know.
Thanks
