I am trying to upload an SVG file to my gallery…the same sort of file I have successfully added many times…but today I am receiving an error message

“Sorry, this file type is not permitted for security reasons”

I have no idea what about this file is a security problem. It is a file I created and wish to share with my subscribers on how to make a greeting card I will be displaying in a blog post.

I tried adding it in another format (.Studio) and received the same message.

This is obviously something new as I have never received this message previously.

Is this a glitch? Does anyone know what the problem might be? I sure hope this isn’t a prohibited upload as I upload these frequently…or was.

Thank you for any assistance you might be able to provide.

Can’t anyone help me with this problem? I appreciate any advice you can offer.

    Hi @katydidcards,

Unfortunately, our uploader will only work with .jpg, .png, and .zip files. As far as I know, the plugin hasn’t ever worked with .svg. If it did, it would have been in much older versions of the plugin. I’m very sorry for the inconvenience.
