Dependant variables
-
Hi there,
I’m not sure if this just isn’t possible with woocommerce, or if I’m just doing something wrong.
Is it possible to hide a variable based on a previous selection? For example, I want customers to be able to select:
1. Size of print (A1, A2, etc)
2. Finish (Matte, Gloss)
3. Mounting (Foam, MDF, no mounting)
4. Fixtures (velcro, nail hanging, no fixtures)But I only want the fixtures to be selectable if a mounting has been selected. If “no mounting” has been selected then I want to the hide fixtures drop down, or at the very least, only show “no fixtures” in the fixtures drop down.
Currently if “no mounting” is selected, it’s still showing “Velcro”, even though I’ve only created a variable for when “foam” is selected.. Why?
I’ve tried creating a variable that’s:
All sizes, all finishes, no mounting, velcro, and then set that as disabled, but it still shows in the list. Clicking on it gives an “undefined” error and the page needs to be reloaded before selecting anything else.Hope someone can help!
Also, is there any way to hide each dropdown box until the one above it has been selected? I’m guessing that might be a theme thing.
