No, I didn’t. In fact, hardly have I finished posting that I get a comment. I have tried the recommendations in the link you gave, but to no avail. It turns out now, that I am not allowed to delete my posts either. I find the whole thing too complicated for me. Aren’t blogs supposed to make things easy?
What OS / firewall etc are you using ?
More detail the better, and someone may have sorted that before.

Just tried. Got the same response… π
Thanks for the help, anyway.

I now have 10 comments, all apparently from the same origin. I have turned off comments, and still get them. The comments come much faster than I post, since I am still experimenting…

I have solved the problem by moving to my iBook. What I couldn’t do on my PC, I did on my Macintosh…
So I guess that is where I’ll post on wordpress.
I give up on trying to fix it on the PC, it gets way too technical and takes too much time.
Thanks for your time
ccf, that brings up some possibilities. While I’m glad you’ve switched over to your Mac (hope I don’t get stoned for saying that), I’d like to see you enjoy using WordPress on both platforms. Have you deleted your cookies and emptied your browser cache on you PC yet?

That is what I started with! But, I agree with you, I love my Mac but would like to be able to function on both platforms… So I’m willing to try again. I have deleted all the comments on the blog though, and turned off the comments I was even wondering if I could use haloscan on wordpress. This is what I use on blogger.com at the moment. I was thinking on moving to wordpress, but I see it is going to take me time ;o)
Off to getting rid of cookies and emptying the cache…
One more thing. Do you have XP SP2 installed? If you do, is Windows Firewall enabled? If so, try to disable it. This is usually an easy problem to nail down and fix…..usually.

I have XP SP2 installed, but I must admit that I have no idea about the firewall. I know I have symantec firewall enabled, but am not too sure where to look for the XP firewall (blush ;o)
Remember? I am still a Mac User…
Start > Control Panel.
It’s about the last icon.
Just kill it
Really
