• Hello Guys, I could really use some help. I deleted my login last week at the advice of my hosting company (whom I have now not heard back from in 3 days…).

It all started at the start of this month. I came up on the 2 year mark for a lot of my plugins… I started receiving different error messages. So I deactivated all my plugins and started to reinstall them one by one. I thought I did pretty good. I made a list of all my plugins and wrote down the dates they were last updated. I assumed that as long as it was updated within the last 6 months I should be good. Not True.

All at the same time my hosting company unknown to me… migrated my account, http://www.usfishlaw.com, to a new server. The following week I keep receiving a fatal error message: home/content/81/9569181/html/wp-includes/link-template.php on line 271…

So I did what was natural and contacted my hosting company (GoDaddy). They told me: “After reviewing your hosting account, I was not able to replicate this error with the information provided. We will need a full error code to make sure we are on track, but it appears to not be hosting related. I grabbed the last part of the error message and searched through the search engines and found the following:

Seems to be an issue with the plugin. You can disable the Theme My Login plugin from within the WordPress dashboard or through renaming the individual plugin folder within /wp-content/plugins/ to theme-my-plugins.disabled for testing. Please let us know if we can assist you in any other way.” Nothing further… in 3 days even after I contacted them back.

Help me out, I assumed that if I deleted the login plugin that it would revert to a default wordpress login? Right?

Had I known that I should have replace that plugin with a newer updated plugin, clearly I would have done it right then… But I’m past that now…

How do I fix it? Please… Make my day 🙂

  • I had a similar problem. I had to manually update my site but when I disabled all the plugins I was unable to log in as the default WordPress login never appeared. Put your site address in the address bar then put /wp-login.php after it. that should get you logged back in. You can try and update the Theme-My-Login plugin
